Delivery Services were employed to manage and execute the merger of the Pathology and Health Sciences departments from 2 separate buildings spread over 2 hospital sites in Belfast in what was a 2 phased project.
The first phase involved the decant of staff, medical students and delicate medical equipment from the Institute of Pathology located in the grounds of the Royal Victoria Hospital.
The move carefully planned to avoid any disruption to students or the departments key public services.
The second phase included a decant of the Health Sciences building situated in the City Hospital. Both phases involved the relocation of 200 staff members, medical students and very highly valuable and sensitive hospital equipment.
